Fort Lauderdale Fishing with Top Shot Sportfishing Charter Boat and Capt. Zsak

Father and son, Tim and Nick Brawley, from Philadelphia were in Fort Lauderdale for a cruise and decided to charter the Top Shot Sportfishing Charter Boat team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at Bahia Mar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316.

Fifteen minutes after leaving the dock, lines were in 120 ft. of water at the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale, 1.8 miles from shore. We started out trolling with two #8 plainers, one with a 3 � blue reflector drone spoon and the other with a pink and blue sea witch in front of a double hooked Bonito strip. For surface baits we went with two Bonito strips and two Ballyhoos. As we trolled the reefs, father and son took turns reeling in a total of four Kingfish and six Bonitos.

From there, we headed towards 250 ft. of water east of Fort Lauderdale and came across a few Barracudas, catching a total of three Barracudas � two on the surface bait and the other on the deep line. We continued trolling in deeper waters and caught a Black Fin Tuna.

For the last part of the trip, we decided to do some kite fishing so we put out two kites with two live baits from each kite, looking for a Sailfish or Shark, but unfortunately there were none to be found.

It was time to head back to the dock - we had a great trip with solid action from beginning to end. The anglers retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Mar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316, while watching the plasma TV.
