Coastal flooding, incoming tide, and flash flood warnings all day. The weatherman was right on the nose. The boat ramps were flooded, Light House Cove Reef, you could have floated a barge across, and it rained pretty much the whole day. Given all that, it was actually a pretty good day of catching and fishing. The fish are starting to make a pattern. The Specks and Reds are gorging on schools of small shrimp. It is like they usually do in the summer. There are a lot of smaller Speckled Trout, mixed with Redfish, chasing shrimp! Some birds are working, sometimes not. If you just stop and look, you might just see shrimp popping out of the water, or Specks jumping out of the water chasing the small shrimp. Caught probably 20-30+ Specks, several Redfish, and a Flounder.Caught the Trout on everything! Gulp (any Gulp), rattle Traps, Hoagie paddle Tails, Cork with a Gulp, Bass Assasin's, and several Trout on Bone Color Super Spook in choppy water in the afternoon. We caught fish all day in water that is usually 2 feet deep (it was about 4' to 5' deep today), the fishing got better as the day went on. After you get wet from the rain that just did not seem to stop, it did not matter as long as the fish were biting. website still down, but email works luckylindycharters@yahoo.com
