Two boats out for Cajun Unlimited on Saturday. Capt Jesse had A.J. Lambright and the boys from Indiana with Star builders. They nailed em for an hour before I got there.
I had Mark, his dad (whose birthday was the same day) made 80 yrs. and his grandson Corey. The big question was,"are we going to catch fish after a hard cold front like this"?
With good team effort we covered two different locations. Capt Jesse hit em and we teamed up and slammed the redfish and drumfish. Schools of redfish were taking lines, and drumfish were just the right size.
The reds had a beautiful gold/red-orange color. Assurance that schools of reds are coming in from the rigs.
Marks dad landed the first fish on our boat for the birthday special. Corey was showing off his athletic arms on 40" bull reds and helping out grand paws tired shoulders.
Mark said that it was phenominal, and that Father's Day would be great for another fishing trip with us.
We turned loose over sixty big redfish between both boats. All the take homes were filleted for New Orleans well known recipes-blackened redfish. Young reds are good, big reds are good, trout are good. God is really good.
