What kind of shorelines/banks does this lake have? Do they drop off to some decent depth or are they extended shallow flats?

You would call Waco a river lake so it has it all. It has deep banks, Shallow banks and more wood that would could fish in a lifetime. Couple bridges crossing the lake. You have the North Middle and South Bosque River that run through the lake. The lake looks good but it is on my least favorite to fish list. People that know the lake catch some good fish out of it. Has good crappie numbers, blue cat, sand bass and some good bass. If you have never seen the lake you will say wow, where do I start? good luck

The lake has all types of banks. Really the only thing it doesn't have which it needs is grass. The lake is getting worse every year because the timber is deteriorating and it gets a ton of pressure. There's a lot of big fish in waco but 95% of the time it's a grind nowadays.

I will agree that it needs grass back in it. Had some Hydrilla not so long ago. I was there last Saturday in areas where the grass used to be. Key being "used to be" none there now.
