I have a few neglected cast nets that I would like to salvage.

What methods are used to soften them back? Line conditioner?

Just fill a pail with water that will hold the net submerged.
Add a couple of tablespoonfuls of fabric softener.
Soak net for an hour.
Rinse and hang the net so the weights are suspended.
