Was scrounging around this morning on google earth finding some good spots, when I take the gps coords. off of google earth and input them to navionics it doesn't give me the same location. Close, but several hundred yards off for sure. Google earth gives degrees, minutes, and seconds, but navionics it looks like just inputs degrees and minutes with 4 decimals. Is it something lost in translation between the 2? Anybody done this and it came out right? Thanks...

Navionics does not have any GPS co-ordinates and you can't put them on Navionics, your unit's GPS does. GPS is not mapping and mapping is not GPS.
The format has to match to enter the correct numbers.
You can change the Google Earth format to match the unit format or change the unit format to match the Google Earth format.

GPS formats are:
Degrees Minutes Seconds-----DD MM SS
Degrees Minutes Decimal Minutes----DD MM.MMMM
Degrees Decimal Degrees-----DD.DDDDD

Thank you Wayne, for clarity I am using the navionics app, not a chip in a unit. I'll try and format google earth differently to match
