Going up there for the 1st time this Memorial Day. If anyone can give me few pointers for catching a few fish, I'd appreciate it. Don't need your GPS coordinates but won't turn them down either!

Thanks!

I have only been on the lake a few times. Used to be if you got on the part of the lake opposite of the damn, it had telephones poles you ran for boatlane. Go far enough up there and you go under a bridge. Used to be full of pads and hydrilla.

I would recommend running up into the river and fish there. You will find them a lot faster.

Are you talking about the water between the NW of LOP and below Lone Star? Is that a river? Looks like a swamp to me! LOL

If you launch from Brush Creek, there are some coves across the lake from BC that I would hit with minimal traffic. Wife and kids did good just throwing that watermelon lizard T rigged using a little spinning rods.

We are staying at Marley's Bull Frog marina. The creek channel it is on looks like a dang nice place to fish, by itself!
