I thank God my dad taught me to fish. I remember how he went way out of his way to take me fishing. Mom would have him out until 1 am on Friday night. He'd come home catch a couple hours sleep then wrestle our 12 foot aluminum boat on top of the station wagon, load all the fishing gear, cook breakfast then wake me up. We'd fish until he got too tired.

Dad's are highly under rated today. I would have never amounted to anything without my father.

Your dad sounds exactly like my dad and not a day goes by that I don't recall some of the great times we had fishing and hunting together. The best thing my dad taught me was how to pray and I love him more for that than anything else he did. Wish everyone had a dad like ours. Have a great day PK and thanks for sharing about your dad.
