The old lady wants to go camping next weekend at Pedernales Falls. I'm not familiar with the fishing there and would appreciate any info you might have. I see a lot fly fishing come up on the standard Internet searches but, unfortunately, I'm not a fly fisherman.
Thanks!

Spinning rod with lightl line combined with a 3"-4" curley tailed grub on a jig head will get you some of the little Pedernales River bass. Any color as long as its chartruse! Actually, any small bass lures will work . Beetle spins, little craw dad colored cranks, little flukes, senkos, worms, tiny torpedoes...will all catch little river bass and sunfish but if they don't bite those curley tailed grubs they are not biting.

I grew up fishing the Pedernales River from Fredricksbug to Johnson City. I was at the age when my dad was still buying all of my fishing gear. I think the only lure that he ever bought when I was young was a Bass Buster Beetle Spin. Mostly yellow. Sometimes white or green. We always caught something.

There are some pretty big yellow cats in there, I'd set a line near a riffle up from a deeper pool. You should have no problem with the bass.
