Anybody have suggestions for currently useable boat ramps on Tawakoni & Ray Hubbard these days? I know Tawakoni is really down now and believe I've seen similar comments on TFF recenly about Ray Hubbard. I would be coming from the Terrell area off Hwy 429. I would primarily be chasing after the sandies, hybrids, & stripers in both cases. Recommendations appreciated.

Ok Skeeter Ronnie, how low is Hubbard and would there be any difficulty getting up to the River. And--is the way to getting into the river where the 2 trees are marked with red ribbon or something after you leave the golf course. I know that I have to take a Hard right at the stump to get over the Burm--my concern is getting to the river.

If you come up 429 to 751 and turn North, you can use the pulic ramp there at the bridge. T-wak is 4 1/2 feet low but there are only a few ramps not usalble.

Ray Bob shows to be 1.37 low

I'm familiar with the ramp at Tawak. you're referring. I prefer not to use it for 2 reasons. (1) There's no place to beach the boat around the ramp I know of (for loading/unloading passengers)without gouging the bottom of the boat on some pretty big rocks, and (2) there's a "hump" about 25 feet out from the ramp which actually gets above water if the lake gets much lower. Be careful if you use that ramp. Thanks for the help, though.

On Tawakoni I perfer Kenny's landing or the public ramp on the other side of the bridge but I don't fish there much.

lake is 1.5' low. you better follow somone to get in the river, as the route has changed to get in there due to the hydrilla growth. now its almost a straight beeline to the stump, then hang a right. I wont try to explain how to get up there, because i dont want to give you bad directions. best to idle up that way until someone passes, then follow them about 100 yards back and watch out for them shutting down after they get in the mouth.

BTW- the river is still over-rated. I catch more and bigger on the main lake stuff.
