Anyone have any advice on Lake Mathis fishing.

The water level at Lake Corpus Christ is about 3 feet low. Water is muddy (normal).
I don;t have a boat, so the state park is the only place I have fished. My last trip (mid April) was a bust.

Yes , a 400 footer and a shorter one. About 14 foot deep at the end of the longer one. Never fished off the shorter one.

I haven't been there in a month and a half. The day I was there, three guys was jigging the legs, didn't see them catch anything are get a bite.
Only seen one gar and one under size catfish caught that day.

Hopefully the crappie bite is better there than where I fished today. We jigged the shallow end of a pier and left for some off shore fishing
