Been trying to register my boat and give the Noble Lord ( the state) his required duty ( fee), but the website is down and has been for over a week. The only option looks like driving over to garland and standing in line forever.

Note, a call the the below number was useless as was the office in garland. The gal in Garland told me she could not help me as she had "customers". I'm sure she will go far in government...

I had to rant.

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

I registered a new boat in July. I think it took 10 minutes in the TPWD office.

I know a few Lawyers, who own boats. They are subject to the same rules as the rest of us and they follow them.

The TPWD office at sh 121 and haltom rd is usually empty or maybe two people at most. Might try there.
I think but not sure you can go to Parker county tax assessor office and register boats too like a car.

Actually I never go to the TPWD office. I simply walk into the Somervell County Registration and Titling office(DMV) in Glen Rose and renew my boat registration at the same counter that I get my automobile tags...or go with your plan & drive to Garland and "stand in line forever". Maybe lawyers work behind those counters also.

We rely waaaaaaaaaaay too much on this "foolproof" technology. It's great when it works, but when it malfunctions everybody's world gets turned upside down. My iPhone woke me up one night. It was on a table, plugged into the charger, well out of my reach. At 1:42 in the morning it was dialing a friend's cellular number. The explanation was that I "must have done something wrong to make it do that, because it can't do that on its own." Right.........

Don't blame TPWD. The public demands internet access to the government functions.

PK you can do it a Palo Pinto Court house.

LOL Jim Ford, my phone calls people on it's own once in a great while. One time I was riding with my friend and his phone started ringing. It was my phone calling. LOL.

I may do that Tom. There's $5 worth of toll booths between me and the office in garland. I probably should not have posted this. I was just frustrated with TPWD and their [censored]. I don't care about the money it's the inconvenience that is terrible. Besides, I just wish the state would quit playing games and just tell me it's $00 or 300 or $1000 a year fish instead of charging me $7 per launch and this nibble and that nibble...

I'll go to Palo Pinto. Bet there's a nice person to help me there.

Buy a annual state park pass. It will pay for itself quickly.

Why not just do it via mail? They send a notice a good while before expiration, and then you just mail it back with payment and the tags show up a week later.
