GM. Looking to upgrade the steering on my Triton TR186 to a Seastar Pro Kit, that includes the cables. Does anyone know the correct size for the cables? Here are the kits offered on Seastar website:

16� � SeaStar PRO cylinder, helm pump and 2x 16� Kevlar hoses + Steering fluid HK7516A-3
18� � SeaStar PRO cylinder, helm pump and 2x 18� Kevlar hoses + Steering fluid HK7518A-3
20� � SeaStar PRO cylinder, helm pump and 2x 20� Kevlar hoses + Steering fluid HK7520A-3
22� � SeaStar PRO cylinder, helm pump and 2x 22� Kevlar hoses + Steering fluid HK7522A-3
24� � SeaStar PRO cylinder, helm pump and 2x 24� Kevlar hoses + Steering fluid HK7524A-3

I had a TR186. Two suggestions, 1 - Just measure the one you have, it leaves the console and just runs down the side and turns out to the motor. or 2 - Call Triton, they are really good people and can help you with a lot of questions. Or even call a Triton dealer, I am sure they have installed a bunch of them and can tell you what you need. Just a thought.

I used a baystar hk4200a3 on a 2004 TR186 w/ a 150 merc. Worked fine, easy install kit complete off of ebay. Sold boat 4 yrs ago on this site.
