What is your opinion on this unit. I am upgrading from lowrance mark 5.This unit is in my budget.

I think you'll be happy with it. I have the Helix 7 and have been very pleased with it.

I think you will be very happy with the Helix unit...I currently am running 3 on my current boat and did the same on last years boat and really like the performance and sharpness of these units. They are setup really well from the factory with only making minimal setting changes just due to personal preference and you sure cant go wrong with the Navionics+ card.
