I have a few comments/questions for the forum.

I am looking at this Lowrance unit and I see at Cabelas the unit is 799.00. The same unit when buying from Lowrance is only 650.00. I swear they're the same units but that seems like an awful large difference. Am I crazy?

Next questions is would you buy this unit over the Humminbird Helix 7? These units seem to compete, no?

I like the set up of the Lowrance unit, it also has touch screen.

One thing that bothers me is that you have buy extra transducers, modules etc on top of buying the new units. I heard that these are different and you have the one transducer only?

I appreciate the feed back.

The unit on the Lowrance website does not come wtih a transducer. The one at Cabela's comes with the Total Scan transducer.

If you are trying to get all the bells and whistles, buy it from cabela's.

I have no clue about the Helix. I have only used Lowrance for the past 15 years. So, I am going to recommend the Lowrance. But, that is my personal preference, Ford, Chevy, toyota, Dodge and Yugo.

Hope that helps. I'm sure a Humminbird, Garmin and Raymarine user will chime in.

Best of luck. I'm sticking with what I know.
