I have heard a couple of different stories about the demise of the marina at lakeside village on Lake Whitney. Both versions had to do with the owner filing a complaint with the Corp, so they cancelled his lease agreement. I'm just curious if anybody knows if that is true. If not, then I am curious to know what really happened. Somebody had a lot of money invested in that place; to much just to walk away.

Like to no myself. That was an awesome crappie barge when the lake was up and normal. I thought it was because the over 6 years of the lake being low and hard times sent him out of business. It was a last chance I think last year , but did not last long. Sad because now the only fishing barge now on the lake is run by an I don't care if you like it , crazy old man that at it's best is barely open. And he will tell you , if you don't like it get the hell out !
