In Texas? You can have 100 hooks on l line if you want. Would be ugly and a mess but hey... It is 100 hooks total. If you have 25 on 3 trot lines and fish with 25 single rods you have 100.
Or have 5 rods with 5 hooks each and the 3 trot lines..Mix it up.
I have fished with 8 hooks on 1 line for sand trout with Sabiki rigs. Have you ever seen a Sabiki rig? Look it up.
