I am looking for suggestions for a fall fishing trip(OCT-NOV). wanting to go catch numbers not just target big fish. I have fished a quite a bit on fork in the past and have been to toledo bend. looking for someplace new to try.

Give Lake O The Pines a try. Great fall lake for numbers or big fish but I have had my some of my best numbers days ever on Pines. A lot of times once the fall weather sets in...main lake and secondary points with a chrome blue trap will catch numbers. It's been as simple as that last couple fall seasons. You might catch a bigger fish mixed in as well.

Also if your in the area you might try Lonestar wich is just above Pines. It's smaller and is a good lake for numbers.

Martin Creek is good for numbers and size if you don't mind a hot water lake. Lake Naconiche is good for numbers. Matter of fact, most all East Texas lakes will be good in the fall. Hope you have a good trip.

If you want to fish close to home all the lakes mentioned above are gooduns I hear..

But if you want to go on a trip, and you want to catch a lot of fish, then you need to consider Falcon.. The lake is teeming with keeper sized fish and once in a while you will hook up with a beast.. And everything in between..

The last few weeks have yielded many days of 50 to 75 fish per boat..
I don't see anything changing in the next few months.. It should only get better..

Rayburn is always a good choice in Oct./Nov. I don't know that you will get the 50 to 75 a day mentioned above, but I've got into some awesome schooling of 2 to 3 pounders in October and found them bunched up many times during the fall where you can just wail on them. Fall can be tricky timing with cool fronts on the move, but it's outstanding if you hit the timing right!

Hey sinking. Welcome to the best forum. From the metro mess it is hard to beat a trio of lakes in east Texas. Monticello is a killer place to fish in late fall and winter. Night fishing with B I G 12" worms in the stickups is awesome. It is a slot lake and most fish you catch will be slots. Monticello has some big fish in it. Cabins or camp it is hard to beat. Sharing a dam with Monticello Bob Sandlin is a fun lake to fish. Sandlin shares a dam with Cypress Springs and the Springs is fun to fish. You can put in at Monticello or Sandlin at the county park at Monticello. I like to fish both lakes the same day when I go. Give them a try. You wont regret it.

Fayette County Res. for numbers with an occasional 6 pounder thrown in.

Husband caught about 50 fish at Squaw Creek today from 7a-1:00. Might want to check it out if you're looking for numbers.
