So struck out big time on Ray Bob today. No bass, no whites and no crappie. I do wanna say I had some very inconsiderate POSs that are very lucky I have some semblance of restraint left in me because they waked my 17 foot deep v so hard it almost threw me off my front deck while trying to pull my anchor up. Now this wasn't a single incident either multiple different wake boats came in the cove and hammered me with massive wakes some passing within 20ft of me till we decided to just leave. I mean I just really don't understand people these days. But alas at least I was fishing.
U.S. Army Veteran Being out on the boat is my counseling and it's worth every second and every penny.

Weekend fishing is tough on all lakes. Even at PK far from the metroplex you have jerks kicking up wakes that knock you around like crazy. I've have Scarab boat make a tight circle around me and fill my 175 TXW with water. Normally I won't go out on the lake on the weekend unless I have visitors who want to try and fish.
Today, those fold are all gone and I can peacefully fish. I expect someday the rules for lakes will have specific lanes for travel up and down the lake with speed limits and cops on jet ski's to enforce. People will have no one else to blame but themselves.
John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

I just head for the trees. If they want to come near me and throw wakes at me I will just sit there and wait until they need a tow cause they done dropped a prop on top of a tree stump or punched a hole on the hull. As for the tow, naw, ain't got no tow rope. See ya later a-hole.
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

At Roberts dude got on top of a stump, went through the hull. Got an inner tube and hand pump to float him off.

Go North past where the trees start to fish, the wake boats won't go up there and the fishing is better. If you are anywhere near the dam you are asking for trouble unfortunately. Ray Roberts has become Lewisville North!
See you on the lake and have a great day!

Start getting TX numbers & reporting. Imagine if TPWD & Lake Patrol entities started getting an astronomical # of calls reporting harassment of fishermen. Seriously.. If fishermen would do that they would recognize the amount of income they were missing out on & maybe, just maaaaybe.... It's a good dream anyway...

I think the rich guys in their fancy boats don't care for others. I see this a lot on Ray Roberts and other lakes lately. When you confront them later in the cove they deny it. They say it must be someone else with a yellow boat and 225 Yamaha on the back.

This is true. But with cell phones & video nowadays it's a problem they'd have to argue with a game warden or lake patrols. Kinda hard to dispute if the video evidence is there & it's a case of harassment/endangerment. Confronting them does nothing but place everyone in jeaporady for bad happenings. Just ask some of the Lake Austin/Travis rich boys & their high dollar wake boats that got citations & wound up getting a BWI charge thrown in on top of it when game warden confronted them with complaint/tx #/video of occurrence. Yup. Poetic justice was served in 2 incidents. TPWD will start cracking down when complaints are reported. But can't do anything if not reported. The safety laws are for everybody just like traffic laws. good luck & safe trips for everyone.
