Has anybody fished the far northern portions of broken bow lake? Where the upper mountain fork dumps in at? Me and another guy are thinking about putting out kayaks in at either Panther Creek or Holly Creek landings later this summer. Most maps I can find are pretty vague about directions into Panther Creek and not much info about either place. Will be targeting anything that bites but particularly them big sunfish and smallies.

Anybody know much about these locations? Thanks in advance!

I know a bunch about it. If I had my heart set on catching smallies I wouldn't put in at Holly Creek. Panther sreek on up you can catch some small ones, if you want big ones you need to fish the main lake perferably Otter Creek on South. Panther Creek primative camping area is still under water right now so it would be impossible to say what maybe washed out, road conditions etc. If you are going to target the upper river areas where bass boats fear to tread (just past Buffalo Creek) I would put in off the Narrows Bridge that crosses the river just before you get to Smithville turnoff. Need more info, PM me.
