Lake Murray OK would be the closest. I've caught a few there, but they weren't very big.

Ft Cobb in OK has a good population of saugeye--walleye/sauger mix. I don't know much about fishing for them, but I'm guessing it would be better to wait until the lake clears since they're sight feeders.

Lots of walleye in Wheeler Branch in Glen Rose, smallmouth bass, too.

But, the lake is primarily a largemouth bass and catfish lake.

If you go to fish Wheeler Branch you must stop at Hammond's BBQ in Glenrose and eat lunch! It is the "must stop and eat place" on all my trips to Wheeler Branch.

Yes Broken Bow has a good population of Walleye but the lake is flooded right now and not sure if the ramps are even open.

Meredith was awesome but we lost all of our walleye when the lake got golden algae. Instead of my 5 minute drive to walleye fish, I now drive 3 hours east to Oklahoma to fish Foss, Canton or Ft. Cobb for walleyes or I drive 2 1/2 hours west and go to Ute Lake New Mexico. It sure was nice catching 5 pound walleyes five minutes from the house.
