We went out on Lake Somerville this Saturday and the boat traffic seemed to really look like I-10 (or I-35) with all of the boats out on the lake. The water was especially high - higher than I ever saw it. And based on our conversations, it was slow for everyone. We caught 3 crappie (two were 4 inches and 1 was about 11 inches long), a Gasper Gou (or freshwater drum) and a small non-keeper catfish. I am wondering if we are in post spawn because the crappie had eggs in her. Other than that, we need to find success maybe it isn't too late to find a crappie guide for this lake???

"Follow me and I will make thee a fisher of men!" Bust open my nets LORD!!! because, I am a wishing I was a fishing!!

If you don't get any responses here, try posting in the Bank Fishing Forum. There is a good thread running called "Lake Somerville."

It was a different world when we were boys and girls....
