does a boat need to have #s on it with just a trolling motor please help

YES !!!!! If any boat has any kind of motor it must be registered. This includes trolling motors and this includes the low cost inflatables if you put a trolling motor on it. TX numbers and current sticker must be on the boat. I have seen several cheap inflatables get a ticket for using a trolling motor without the TX numbers and sticker.

I recently stopped in at TP&W and asked how much it
would cost if I put a trolling motor on my $229
kayak. Answer +/- $ 85.00 for a two year sticker
and all required paper work.
So,
$ 99 for 30 lb thrust Tmotor
$ 49 for new type of small deep cycle battery
made for small boats, kayaks, & canoes
$ 85 TPW
= $ 250.00 including taxes - not sure its worth it.

i just inherited a two man bass hunter and am going through the rigamarole of trying to get it retitled and ready for a 30 lb ki

do you have to do a 2 year titling? they list it as $32 on their site for one year.... but mine is less than 14"

I have a 8 foot two man bass buster and YES it has to be titled and registred for it to be on the water (atr least legally). All I have is a 40lb trolling motor on mine but had to go through the same hoops your going through to get it legal. I had to get the two year registration. PM me if you need help or suggestions. I got it done hopefully you can too.
