Tied a White COAF Foam Damsel Fly and fished Kroger Park this morning. Saw several nice looking Bass chasing bait fish in the shallows but none wanted the fishing fly. Luckily, the little Bass and one Bluegill really liked the fly! Today's Video/Pics.

Bass were readily taking the fishing fly in the "flats"... was surprised given the cool temps but for some reason, they were there.

Ended this round with nine Bass, did miss others. Of the nine Bass, one went for the Near Deere; eight went for the Foam Damsel Fly. Fun stuff!Today's Video.

Cool pattern! Like it!

Took the Wine Cork Micro Flyrod for a quick trip this round. Only had 15" to fish; caught three Bass that went for a Foam Damsel Fly! Today's Video.

Tested a new fly rod today - Eagle Claw Fish Skins Fly Rod in a 5 weight, 9' length, and two pieces. Had a fun time catching Bluegill and little Bass. Did get one Bruiser Bluegill; posted it on the Fishing Bulletin Board! Liking the rod; not bad for $59.95! Today's Video. Foam Damsel Fly was key again today!

Tested a new pattern - a Damsel Fly Variant. Caught several nice looking Bruiser Bluegill. Also, had to deal with lots of wind, luckily the wind was in our favor in some places - casting with a strong tailwind gets some nice long distance casts! Overall, liked this variant!
Today's Video.

Made a two piece micro fly rod and got to test it yesterday; Damsel Fly Variant worked well; but, may need to go with a size 14 hook as the fish were smaller compared to the pond fished the other day. Yesterday's Video.

Tested out a new fly pattern - no name for it yet. Caught a bass and lost a bass, then switched to damsel flies and caught Bass, Bluegill, and Sunfish. Good to have the fly pattern in the fly box for days like these... Fun stuff! Today's Video.
