Exactly what I was thinking, almost verbatim. The live well is a great idea!
I think the guy that has them on the green twin hull kayak is either using them so the sides are more comfortable to lean against or so if he hits the sides with the paddle they don't make any noise. I am going with more comfortable ...why else would he have one on the back?

I made some quick scupper plugs with pool noodle, also made some easy on/off rod floats that I like alot.
