Oh what perfect timing again! Seems to be a common occurrence every year, the water gets warm and the fish start to spawn then dump the water.

Going down 1st weekend in May. Last time I was on the lake it was a full pool just before the flood few years ago. Sounds like I will be pointing up the bank at my GPS spots.
Anyone know what the water temp is?

I was able to get down to Amistad and fish today. I had a decent morning, concentrating my efforts up in Evans. Missed a decent one on topwater right away and then started picking away at them with a fluke. I caught a couple of 3's and some 2's. My best 5 were right around 11 pounds. Had a couple take a swipe at the jerk bait but I could not seal the deal. Around noon the winds picked up and it shut off. Decided to head in and drive back home.

All in all i'd say it's getting better down there. It was by far the best outing I've had in the last 6 months. I also would like to thank Anglers Lodge. This was the first time I stayed with them and I think the place is awesome. Its nice to have an all in one place...very convenient. I will definitely be staying with them from now on. Take care..Andy.

It's dropped approx 6ft in two weeks, 1075.74 right now (fm 1081+). Morning temps 70* depending on location. Fishing is slow to ok lots of small bucks. Top water bite coming up. Water murky depending on location.
