Yep, when the rain is pouring and the lake is still dropping there's something wrong. I think it's sprung a leak lol

Starting in a few weeks, the lake will rise at least 2 ft with all the pleasure boaters in the water.

So the new pattern is Hubbard bass are good on brown senkos with corn gold flakes fished over poop piles in 10-12 feet of yellow water. Sounds like a tough bite.
What would Gary Dollahon do if he were here today?

I have to agree with the OP. I have been wondering about this myself. I live 3 minutes away from Hubbard and we have gotten some pretty decent rain the last couple of weeks, yet the lake level has only gone up a hair. Something weird is going on. Are they draining water for fracking? I dunno. Something fishy going on.

http://www.dallasnews.com/news/community...ls-stagnate.eceHere's an article from last winter. Where is Rockwall YTD on rainfall versus average? And how much has the population grown in the last year? Rainfall data for April. www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KF46/2014/4/24/MonthlyHistory.html#calendar. Scroll down to bottom of page. Even though there has been thunderstorms in the area, the amount of rainfall from all but one was almost nil. Largest one was .79 inch which isn't going to raise that lake at all.

The watershed for Hubbard is actually larger than most think, even parts of Frisco run into R H. I wish I had watched the resevoir controls to see if more was released during that stret of weather. Its pitiful how much is pulled out of there, I still maintain that a few years ago the sequence in which Dallas pulls water must have changed, possibly easing up on some other lake an pulling more from Hubbard. Looking the last drought when Lavon approached the 475 mark, Hubbard stayed over 430 that whole time. Its been in the 427's this time and doesn't seem to climb at all when we get moisture.

But is that due to something fishy, or a three year drought and growth in the local population?

To much water demand and not enough rain. Hubbard and the rest of the lakes around here will never be full for any length of time anymore even if they do fill up.
