My son and I went yesterday 4/22/14 and loaded the boat! Last minute trip . Got on the lake about 2pm finally found them at 4:00pm we caught 65 total and kept 50 for the freezer. All healthy good looking fish most were 10 1/2 to 14 inches with the biggest one 15 1/4 inches weight was 1.30 after getting home. Caught 50 on jigs from Moe`s Tackle caught the rest on Mepps #4 Agulia Water Temp 70 24 fow some fish were on bottom one crank up. Others from 10 to 18 ft. [img:left]http:// [/img]

Great looking crappie. You certainly had a fun trip, when you caught that many and were able to cull your catch.

thanks all: Fish were caught on the "new lake" Tyler East 24 fow 8lb line blue/clear Jig red hook 1/8 oz. No minnows were used only reason for that, the marina was closed. Most bites were on the fall of the jig, if I felt a bump I would stop the fall and hold the jig still then if no takers I would let it fall to the bottom. Most fish were caught between 4:30pm to 6:00pm

FYI. The marina won't be opening till someone coughs up some change and buys it.
I figured you didn't catch them shallow.
