if your using circle hooks, keep the drag pretty tight. j-hooks, I like to have the clicker on and the drag loose

I use circle hooks so I keep my drag tightened down and let the rod load up and set the hook

Depends on the bite of what im fishing for.
Tight at times for blues.
Always loosen it for flats.

When anchored up in timber I lock my drag down all the way. When fishing open water I back off a bit.
