I like to fish late into the night and even sometimes fish overnight on my boat. Have never used Britton Park ramp but thought I'd try since that is supposed to be good catfish spot. Can I leave my truck and trailer past 10:00PM without problems from the park people?

I use to fish out of Britton on late nights but I don't think the no longer allow this. Britton park hours are from 6am-10pm.

I live in Britton so I use the ramp constantly....they want you out at 10:00 sharp. Couple of years ago we were 10:10 getting out of the creek and to the ramp...Grand Prairie park guy wrote me a trespassing ticket. I have contacted head of parks at Grand Prairie several years ago about keeping the park open at least until midnight for us night fisherman....Response was that they dont have the extra man power from the parks or the police dept. to patrol that late....we were just asking for two more hours.

But it's pretty much safe to park and leave your vehicle for that long and late. Seems pretty lonely in that part of the lake, but just wondering what's it like from experience.
I wanna FISH!

When the lake first open me and my nephew use to fish the bridge late at night during the summer. Britton park stayed open 24 hours back them and we use to slay the crappie. There were always people catfishing when we came in. I'm not sure why they don't simply leave the park open 24 hours.

If you leave a note for the attendant that you plan to stay overnight, he will lock the gate and let your truck and trailer stay. Only draw back is the gate stays locked until 6 am the next morning!

Go to the state park and drive your boat there. Don't chance getting your truck towed.

That's still a long way to go and since they haven't maintained the bouys in the channel, it gets really shallow and hitting stumps in spots if you don't stay in that channel going back there. Guess I'll try and find another spot.

Whats up with the markers in the channel from Britton Park to the main lake?? Who is responsible for what is left of those....most are way off, half gone or completely missing....I dont know that any of them have every been replaced and there used to be a bunch of them....now just a hand full if that.

I believe that's still a corp of engineers lake since you can't buy waterfront land. Trinity River Authority had it at one time but now, I don't know. Good question.
