I signed up last October and still haven't heard anything about being chosen from the waiting list. Just wondering if any of you guys have gotten an email from BASS. I was really hoping to get to do this but not looking good as its only a couple weeks away now until the tournament. Anybody heard anything?

I received a confirmation I am a Marshall. You should be able to go online and lookup your status on the lake Marshall link and find out if you are in or not.

I signed up immediately when the registration opened and received my confirmation package back on Nov 4, 2013.

I went online but only see where to register to be a marshal. I don't see anywhere to check your status. I'm going to try and call them tomorrow and check my status. Thanks for the replies.

Do you have to pay to do that?

Yes it was either $125 or $150. If your not selected you get your money back. I just found where to check your status and it said I'm still on the waiting list.

You need to call them if you can't go last minute. They will sometimes have people on waiting list then will need our help last minute. If you are picked you don't get money back. At least they used to do it that way two seasons ago when I did it

It's really easy to check your status, here is the link, click on "Check registration status", enter your member number and last name.
Good Luck hope you got in !!

YOU pay THEM to sit in a boat 2 days and watch someone else fish?

Am I the only one that sees something wrong here?

Pretty cheap guide trip if you ask me. You don't get to fish but if you draw the right guy you learn some valuable info for sure

Totally worth it! I marshaled at 4 different events last year and two days on Seminole so far this year. Some days you just have a fun day on the water, hear some great stories and get good pictures. Other days are pretty intense learning sessions and you can really pick up some good education on your favorite lake, techniques, etc.

I'm pretty blessed that I get to attend most of these tournaments and always look forward to getting a chance to marshal when I have the opportunity.

Here's some great pics that I took on Seminole this year when I rode with Bill Lowen. Pretty cool when you see your stuff show up on the blog!

The signup date slipped my mind, so I ended up signing up a couple of days after it opened. I received a letter stating that I was #25 on the waiting list. About a week ago I received an e-mail stating that I was in if I still wanted to participate, but I needed to respond by e-mail before noon of the next day! Of course, I sent that e-mail immediately. Today I received my formal notification and entry form by mail. It goes in the mail tomorrow.

I'm feeling pretty lucky about getting in after being down by 25 standbys. You can call the tournament number and they'll tell you what your standby number is. At least they told me a couple of weeks ago.

Good luck getting in. It should be a great tournament.
