The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be holding our fourth monthly meeting of 2014 on Thursday, April 10th at Bass Pro Shops in Garland. The meeting will be in the covered patio of the Islamorada restaurant and starts at 7:00PM. Waitstaff will be ready for your orders.

We will again be taking memberships for the 2014 season. Club membership costs $30.00 and includes your immediate family (spouse, kids, parents, etc.) See our Secretary/Treasurer Jeff Cartwright when you arrive to sign up.

We will go over the results from both our March tournament on Bob Sandlin, and our Open tournament on Ray Hubbard from a couple weeks ago. If you finished high, be prepared to share what you did to catch em with those of us that didn't. We will also be going over our upcoming tournament on Ray Roberts on Saturday April 12th. THERE HAS BEEN A START TIME CHANGE! After some discussions about safety, out tournament directors and officers have decided to move the start time to 7:00AM from 6:30. With Roberts being over 8 feet low and the lack of marked boat lanes, we felt it was necessary to make sure we had a little light to see by when we started. We will discuss this at the meeting.

We will be looking for anyone that needs a partner, either on the boater, or non boater side. If you want to fish, but need someone to fish with, come on out and we'll try and get you paired up.

Other items on the agenda include information about Club shirts and information on our next community event. The Kids Fishing Derby is on Saturday June 7th. This will also be the day we have the Club barbecue. It will be a great day!

As if we didn't have enough on the agenda, we will have two guests speaking. RHBC member Doug Hauessler will be there showing us the custom rods he builds. He also does rod repair ( I know from personal experience he does good work there) and also builds custom baits. We will also have a representative from Bumper Stumper Lures at the meeting as well. They build awesome spinner baits and are locally owned and operated. Rich will be there talking about their baits and about fishing spinner baits in spring time. It's a great time of year for throwing a spinner bait!

As you can see, we have lots to talk about and bring your appetite for the great food at Islamorada. See you next Thursday!

The meetings are a good way to meet fellow anglers and make new friends, get lake information, and share techniques whether you are a highly experienced angler or just getting started. RHBC is all about the fellowship, learning, having a great time, and building friendships through a common interest.
RHBC has dedicated this year's meetings to having guest speakers from vendors to Pro Anglers as available and with having the meetings at Bass Pro Shop on the 'Fish Company Patio' provides a more roomy relaxed atmosphere and is separated from the restaurant noise not to mention the great food and drink that is available, so come on out Thursday evening!!!
