good luck with the tubing rusting on the inside and staining your carpet. That's a good point. Used to help build Bell Huey rotor stabilizer bars for the two bladed design and part of the process was to fill the inside with primer and let it drain. I did the same thing for my Monarch Deer Feeder legs. Minimal rust issues. The same could be done for these lock-bars. Anyone else doing this might make an H-frame to protect the batteries in the bilge. But otherwise... Nice work!

close tolerances and don't really plan on then being on the boat except when needed. As far as the exterior, that is why I used epoxy paint, very hard and durable. Just watch for any signs of scratches and rust and touch up. Still better than $500 in my opinion. Also thought about wrapping in plastic tape or something.
Life is one big playground. Be sure to ride all the rides before it closes.

I think that rod locker was invented in Arkansas. A lot of boats had them on it there. The thieves were using the front tie down hand winch and hooking the center of the bar and cranking down on it and bending it until it busted loose. Then robbing the boat. Sad world we live in. Your looks pretty stout. Nice job. You could put some foam pipe insulation around the bottom legs to prevent any carpet stains.

That myth was debunked a few years ago by a local glass repair company with the original lok-r bar
