Hope you don't mind if I do my pa almost exactly like this when I get it!
What's on the transducer in the first few pics? Is the butt plug mount needed for sidescan?

What's on the transducer in the first few pics? Is the butt plug mount needed for sidescan? No problem at all. Sharing is caring, and we are all family in the Kayak Community. You can mount your SI transducer a few different ways. I went with the anal plug but if i were to do it again I might reconsider. The SI transducer must be submerged and have clearance on either side.

Yeah but since it is on the RAM X grip I could really just move it to the other side. I love Yak Attack's products because they are so versatile.

Those lights look awesome, as does the rest of the rig.
like the man says...if you're swimming in the ocean and get bitten by a shark, its not a shark attack. You're in THEIR neighborhood. If you're at home in your shower, turn around and a shark is in there with you...THAT'S a shark attack

Those lights look awesome, as does the rest of the rig. Thanks! The lights were great while they lasted. Only got one season out of them. I'm going with the IP 68s this season. I only had 25 bucks invested in those so I wasn't too upset. That included the wireless module switch. I will post an update when I install the next ones. I am going to use some sweet switches on my mounting boards on the new install. I lost the fob to the wireless switch the last time so hard switches will resolve that. I will also be installing a marine grade cigarette light style charger for charging my phone or using other accessories.

So the wireless switch killed the string of IP65's?
Interesting.

Cost...all that is GREAT, but what is the cost of what you have there? I don't really like to think about all the $$ tied up but I know it's way less than what would go into a power boat. When I originally decided to go with my Hobie I realized I could get a crappy old boat that would continue to cost more each time I go out or get a top of the line kayak with very low to no continual expense or maintenance. I have never felt like I made the wrong decision.

So the wireless switch killed the string of IP65's?
Interesting. No Andy, it wasn't the switch that killed the lights, it was just the abuse it received during use that caused a few of the leds to break. Not having the switch made it a real PITA to use while on the water.

My Sweet Addiction just got some new bling!! I have been looking for a while for a multipurpose rod holder that will allow me to drift for cats, spider rig for crappie and troll for just about anything else and I think I may have just found it with some help from Jerry Hamon and Christian Myrick. These units have been very popular in the catfish and crappie guide industry for a while but now with some T Bolts and Gear Trac from YakAttack and the hardware included from Bee Ready it is possible to easily add them to our kayaks. I am really looking forward to putting these to the test... They already look sharp and they are low profile so they can stay mounted. No more digging through my front hatch for the components to mount my previous rod holders. Thanks to Bob Younghusband as well for speaking to me more than a few times since I first met him at the Mesquite Outdoor Show earlier this year.

Hey Yak, on the aluminum plate it looks like a cupped piece of black plastic as a nose protector for your transducer, what did you make it from?
