Weather has been warm for about a week so me and my sis decided to do a little spring scouting trip to Lewisville today. Tried some jigs around a dock for about 20 minutes to see if the crappie wanted to play yet, they did not. Water is cold but was able to net some shad really quick. We headed to the nearest point and tossed out bait hoping for some early season hybrids. Didn't catch any of those either, but we found a nice mess of blue cats that were hungry. Ended up with 25 fish biggest 2 pictured went 18 and 20 lbs! An absolute blast on our light gear! Hope this is a sign of an awesome spring coming up!
