Anyone have any info on what the bass are doing on Lake Gilmer. We have a High School Tournament there this weekend, and trying to gather a little advice.

Fished it last summer and had a dinkfest on schoolers. Caught one about 3 #'s on a c rig. I will give it a try this Spring. It's a nice little lake.

Going out there this weekend for the first time. I hear there is some timber but Is the lake pretty open for the most part to run? If not where do I need to watch out for? Thanks muchos!

Was there Monday! 1 one slot on a jerkbait. I suck. Fished the hydrilla above the bridge with everything in the boat and notta. Marked fish on a creek channel main lake point but no takers. Fished main lake weed flats near coves and nothing. The 1 game off a lay down tree near the shore at mouth of a cove and had clumps of grass. Not much fight to him most the lake is high 40s. Upper end as high as 53 degrees. Very defined creek channel all the way down the lake. I did not run onto any other structure other than the channel and points. I really never found an edge to the grass in the upper end just thicker and thinner and everywhere. Fishing there in club tournament in March any help will be appreciated. It expensive to drive there from dallas.
