Fake...Our fake one looks much better than a real one and in about 5-10 years it pays for itself....Then I get to buy a new one. I think in another 10 years or so I'll have enough Fake Christmas Trees to start my own Fake Christmas Tree Farm.
Seriously, much less muss, fuss, don't have to worry about my English Bulldog knocking it over and making a water mess on my hardwood floors, and he won't try to drink the water in the bowl.

Got a 12" already decorated pine cone shaped fake x-mas tree sitting on the shelf above the entertainment center. That's all the decorating I do.

My folks had the same tree from when I was born until I was 21 when they finally retired that one and got another fake one. Its more tradition for us to use the same tree. it doesnt feel the same without it

Vodka in the tree water makes it look pretty and last longer but after a couple days it starts to lean to one side.

Anyone remember those funky alluminum trees back in the 60s?
