...or keep it real? Just wondering if ya'll prefer real or live Christmas trees? Personally I can never see myself going with a fake one...ever. However fake ones are a bit safer and such. Which ones do y'all use?

....its all about the smell but the fake ones are sounding better after seeing(and paying ) the price tags on the real ones!

Someone here has to watch the Chapalle show, when keeping it real goes wrong.

REAL,REAL.I will never have an artifcial tree in my house.It takes away from the spirit and in my own opinion is just down right anti-christmas.Except for people with allergies there shouls be a law banning arificial trees.

Sorry, I go fake that I pre-lit several years ago. I just pop three pieces into place, fan out the fake leaves, and plug it in (my wife does the decorating).

We have a fake one. The wife cleans the mess so it was here call on real or fake. I saw on the news the other day that you add Vodka to your tree water now to make the tree last longer and look pretty. Why not just drink the vodka yourself then everything looks pretty.

I wonder what the vodka adds to the flammability factor.

Uh guys, is there a connection here? I've never heard of a drunk Christmas tree, but it sounds like Nautilus's tree is showing some pretty suspicious symptoms?

I fake it, just so much easier, and you don't have to worry about the fire hazard and needles all in the carpet. I have the prelit kind that sits on a pedestal that goes round and round.
So what I am saying is my tree does not drink or smoke and I always know where it is!!!! :p

Always a fake one, they decorate much easier.

I got tired of the drunk firs (spruces?) trashing my house. 2 years ago I bought a top quality fake (faux?) tree and this year (3rd Xmas) it's free. No needles laying around (doper?), no leaning against the wall. Just straight and true, like the rest of my house. Sort of.

First year with a fake one for us. We always said we'd never have one, but never say never I guess. The prices of real trees and the deal I got on the fake one (Top-of-the-line 12 ft pre-lit for $100) made us at least try it. I'm thinking we'll occasionally go with the real ones, though.

I have thought about buying a fake tree now the kids are gone but I just can't do it,This year we tried something new and I have found the best tree we ever had,we went to the christmas tree farm and cut our own tree in the San Antonio area,any size tree 30.00 ,this tree has not even started to die , it is as fresh as the day we cut it,take you kids to cut your tree next year it is a lot of family fun with the hay rides...

hedehogsrus, was the farm on the guadelupe river? went out there friday ade the selection wasnt all that great. plan on getting there early next year. did get a tree from them tho. they had it pre cut out in the tent by the road. very good peoples.
