OK I'll get it started since no body else is ready to get the subject going. The Bill Lewis Rattle Trap Tournament will be this Sunday Jan. 19th. With the poor Trap fishing lately I wonder what it will take to win and get a check? Many of the recent tournaments were not won or placed with Traps, so having the Trap tournament this early will be interesting.
Then the next "hot" topic. Will the "RED" trap play a factor? (Get it- "Hot" and "RED"! rolfmao) "EVERYBODY" knows that when you fish Rayburn you fish a RED trap! But that is not always the case. With so many different color's and variations of traps it will be good to see what does best. I even think a man can collect the different color Traps and mount them in collector boxes on the walls for some of the old Classic Colors!
Can you say OLD ORIGINAL BLEEDING Shiner! (And not the one with the stripes either.)

Saturday I had a decent stringer all on a trap. my 5 largest fish came on 5 different colors, but I can say the original bleeding shiner was not one of them and YES I did throw one. At the end of the day I think I had color figured out. That may change though with rain in the forcast for sunday. Are you and Pro ford fishing the trap tournament?

Rule 3.Bill Lewis Trap family of lipless crankbaits Only: including Tiny-Trap, Mini-Trap, Rat-L-Trap or
RattleTrap, Mag-Trap, Mag-Force Trap, Super Trap, BlueWater Trap, High Def (HD) Trap, Vibra-Trap, Pro-
Trap, Spin-Trap, Knock-N-Trap, and Stealth Trap lures may be used.. NO UMBRELLA RIGS. Custom
painting your lure is permitted. You may also change your hooks. Modifying internal shot loads is not allowed.
Adding or attaching soft-plastic baits to the Trap is not permitted. If your modification is in question then it is
advised you seek permission from the tournament director prior to tournament.

Javalin, Probably Not gonna fish it. Ford has a messed up "wing" and slinging a Trap all day long will only aggrevate it and we are saving up for the next weekend for Sat & Sun tournaments. But that is all subject to change if the weather warms up and it looks like it might get warmer. rolfmao

You know what's funny? No where in the rules does it say it's a 2 man team.

I would assume since there is only entry for 2 people on the registration form that it is limited to Boater (The Team Captain) and non boater only.

I would assume that since they WON'T let an Umbrella Rig to be used with 5 traps then they only want one trap in the water per person. rolfmao I think it has something to do with the Phase Balance of the lake with too much harmonic vibrations. If they allowed 3 people per team then the proximity of too many vibrating traps might cause electromagnetic fluctiations of the magnetic fields around the earth and especially over Sam Rayburn. Kinda like a hole in the Ozone but in the Magnetosphere. Or like "Crossing the Streams" on Ghost Busters! flame Or it might have been prophecied by the Mayans in the lost part of the DoomsDay tablets. My Secret Military Clearance did not go high enough to be part of that project. bannana2

Ron, I assume dragging a rattle trap on a carolina rig or drop shotting one has to be very difficult! Ford still playing possum? Heard he was on the golf course yesterday! juggle
