Me and the Wife are heading out to Brady lake for a day of fishing this weekend.

Weather looks like it is going to be nice (finally a warm weekend!)

I was just curious as to how many here have fished this lake and have any idea where I should try to find the crappie?

I have never been to this lake, so I don't know anything about it.

Find you a brush pile near the dam. My sons and I were there a couple of weeks ago and I can tell you that the lake is very low (big surprise I know). The crappie house was a great place to catch numbers of fish years ago, but the size just wasn't there. We tried the crappie house Christmas weekend and didn't get a bump. It is very run down and trashy now...sad sight! But we fished late evening, so maybe the morning bite is better. Hopefully someone who actually fishes the lake on a more consistent basis will chime in...good luck.

I have a 16' Coleman Scanoe that I will be fishing out of. Maybe the time of year and low water levels will give us the lake.

I am a river rat by nature so this lake trip will be the first in a long time for me.

I will motor over to the dam and take a look around tomorrow. Thanks for the info!

One more question, do they sell minnows at the bait shop at the lake?
