If you don't mind me suggesting .... take them to a bench grinder and take off about 2/3 of that lip or you're gonna be one tired essobee.

I've thought about that. Good idea. I'll have to experiment with one then go cast it to see how much I can shave off. I may drill a hole and add some shot to get them noisier (like the halco).

Take one over to Sarge's pool and see how hard/easy it is to reel it from one end of the pool to the other.

I use stretch 30's trolling on my boat and reeling them in from way back ain't fun.

You never know about those Stretch 30's, you might want to drift one off the side of the boat when we're drifting away from the floaters at a fast pace, just might get a bite! I've seen how hard they are to reel in though, I don't like them for that reason, but they are supposed to be Wahoo killers!

LOL .... last night I dreamed about this. I dreamed Ronnie took some over to Bill's pool to try them out. But he was having a party and the pool was full of people and he kept snagging them. A fast retrieve was working best. Finally Bill went and got a gaff to help Ronnie out. It got ugly .... real ugly.

Since 25 casts would be the upper range of possible we could get a sheet with 25 squares on it like a football pot. 5 up and down and 5 across. We could all sign empty squares and then draw numbers for each square when it is full.

Brian and I talked... I believe those will all be thrown in a share box on the table/bar for anyone daring enough to fish one. Lol! I'll fish ol faithful poppers like always lol! But of course I always start out jigging for blackies first. Kinda gets me warmed up and I've got a new toy to play with (pro gear)

Are there ever any girls on these trips? My daughter Tiffany has been on day trips since she was 10 but not a three day trip.

None on this trip .... but I have done these trips with them before.

And David .... after putting two and two together I see you are Fred Spencer's brother. Some of us know Fred and have fished with him in the past. Are you Fred's big brother or little brother ... LOL?

A suggestion for you .... if you are not familiar with two speed lever drag equipment get Fred to give you a quick tutelage on how they operate. It could benefit you greatly.
