I might have already asked this but what all are the cooking accommodations on board? I know they have a couple microwaves and I think someone said they have a little gas grill on the top deck.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

since it's your first trip with this motley crew, bring a fork & a napkin.
you should be good.
Contrary to Bobby's statements, you are NOT responsible for the ribeyes.....

I have no problem cooking a little, I plan on making some hawaiian poke out of a blackfin or two. How much fish normally gets donated to the "food bank"?

All is good for both charters, MJI. Both full at 24 with standbys.
Our only concern is the shower activity mentioned elsewhere that may cause water shortage on board. laugh

Here I just thought when you are covered in fish blood you dove in for a swim at night. Heard you need to splash a lot too and fill your pockets with bonita chunks to keep the sharks away....

Legal disclaimer- do not actually do this

I know this is kinda off topic but my wife and I are planning on hitting up Port A the last week of September we plan on doing some jetty and bank fishing but she would like to do an inshore trip. My question is do you guys have any guide recommendations for the area?

you might give packery channel a try. Going towards corpus from port A park on the right side of the bridge and walk as far as you can down the bank to your right(east?) As far as you can go. You'll have to cross water to get to the place I'm talking about but it generally doesn't get over waist deep on high tide. I've always had awesome luck there and in the channel between port a and aransas pass in October. Catch some mullet or use Artie's. Big schools of reds around there. Can't help on the guide I'm a diy'er inshore.

Thanks Bryan.. I to like to do it myself and learn as I go.. but my wife wants to fish with me and I'm looking for the easy places to get to and fish for her and some times a guide can put her on fish quicker get her involved and keep her wanting to go fishing with me.. Who knows I might be able to get her on a tuna trip some day..

Starting to get the Tuna itch!! Only cure is to catch multiple amounts until my muscles shut down!! Time to go pull out the gear and do an inventory! I'm sure I need something else smile (like an AVET 30-2)
