Size 6-7 inch fluke,Color: Shad,White,Pink,Chartruse,Jig head: Shad type, bullet,Any that will keep your fluke with a natural bait presentation,Technique:try to keep your bait still ,and in front/on top of fish. For the most part open water where the bait fish are,and you are marking fish. One of the most Important tips I can give you is to make sure your knot is in the right spot on the jig head.

The whites on Ray Roberts will hit a slab deadsticking. Small 3/4 ounce ones work best for me. Forget it if it is a windy day. I tried it on Sunday and they are not ready for that technique yet. The water was 62 degrees, so the time is almost here.

That was a great video. Where did you get the rod holders?

Good electronics, the ability to read a graph, a way to slow your drift, the ability to count, up from the bottom or number of pulls to the first guide on your rod are all simple steps to catch fish dead sticking.

www.moestackleshop.com has the terminal tackle to get the job done.

It ain't easy making it look easy.

I think a 6-7" fluke may be best if you are striper fishing. try something a little smaller if you are chasing whites and hybrids. i prefer using bubble gum and various shad colored flukes. i use a white or chartreuse jig head that I get from RSR lures. Anyone's jig head will work though. Just buy the best quality hooks you can find.

Basically you just need to sit the bait where the fish are on your graph. I find that most of the time they will be near the bottom. What i will do is drop a fluke down (one in the rod holder also) and just kinda twitch it. you really do not need much action to get them to bite. keep in mind that the fish are cold and they don't want to chase a bait like they will in the spring and summer months. if you have ever done much crappie fishin you know what the thump is. they are just going to tap it. you gotta be ready to jerk their lips off when they bite.

if you ever want to go fish lewisville just send me a PM. I'll take you out on my boat and show you the ropes once the dead sticking pattern gets going well.

I was out on the lake Sunday afternoon and did pretty well dead sticking small glitter shad. i tried the fluke method but did not have any success. surface temp on the main lake was 61 degrees. once it gets about another 5-10 degrees cooler the dead stick bite should pick up.
