Yet another awesome day on the water. Everyone caught quality stripers this evening. Here is a 27" striper from Roger. I did pretty well today. Hooked onto a nice 28-29" striper that came off just when I was turning around to grab my net. Oh well, it happens. Fished the stump field and marked a school of stripers and made one cast and landed my new PB. 33" striper. This beast trolled me sideways for a good 10 yards before I can turn my yak and chase after her. By the time I net her, I was a good 30-40 yards away from the stump field. Awesome ride! Caught my second striper (31") blind casting towards the bank. As soon as I hooked her she made a mad dash. This was by far one of the strongest striper I had ever fought. Made at least 5 runs and even when she was on her last breath and dove under my yak. For a moment I thought she was going to snapped my line when she dove under but didn't. Water temp this evening is hovering at 66 degrees if we get a few more cold front the stripers will start moving deep. For those who are still thinking about catching them in the shallow NOW IS THE TIME before it is too late! BTW Tyler, all fish landed were on 12lb test. I was using 10lb test last weekend and it is definitely doable. As always, it was always a pleasure fishing with Roger and Henry. Thanks for the beer! Lee
