First and foremost I have ZERO ties/associations with this company. I paid full retail at TW for them simply because I wanted to try them.
While browsing TW I first saw them I was struck by how closely they resembled the great R.I. Swamp Donkey. Curiosity got the best of me so I ordered 1ea in blackbird and 1ea of black/blue. Ended up being so impressed I made another order and got a few more colors with watermelon being my overall favorite. Since that initial order I have learned they are being made and sold by the actual designer of the Swamp Donkey which explains the looks. Here is a quick review.

Castability: simply put they cast extremely well and seem to always land belly down. Distance is not an issue nor do they seem to roll or twist in the air causing line issues. Whether pitched or casted they are above average in this area.

Action: very easy to walk and move. Even without trimming a leg they are one of the easiest frogs to walk I have used. They sit butt low in the water but come out ready to go with a flick of the wrist. You can work them easily fast or slow and they seem to be easy to work in a certain direction if that is your intent.

Weedlessness/taking on water: they come through just about any cover with minimal hangups. Actually despite throwing it grass, duckweed, sparse pads, heavy pads and other vegetation I never once hung up. Can probably count on one hand the times I have even had to pick off a blade of vegetation off the hooks. They got through anything I threw them in. The one very nice feature is out of the 4-5 I have opened and used not a single one takes on water excessively. Actually the opposite. These are among some of the best at NOT sinking. Seemed like I was having to force myself to squeeze out what little water they took on every 20-25 casts if that. They really are one of the best I have used in this regard.

Hooks/hookups: They have super sharp and very stout hooks. Not sure of brand but their placement against the body along with shape of body made the hookup ratio about as high as any of the best brands I have tried. I would go so far to say they are probably in the Top 3 best brands I have used in this area. I got good hooksets and hookups on the majority of the bites I had. They seemed to stay pegged fairly well and not a single hook failure to report.

Softness/Durability: The body seems softer than some other brands but in a good way. They are just soft enough to collapse on bites but sturdy enough not to foul up much at all as I mentioned earlier. So far after a couple of weeks of repeated use I have not seen anything to lead me to think durability is an issue.

Price: They are $9.49ea which is cheaper than some and a tad higher than others but they have some decent color patterns and they seem to be built well. I have zero issue paying that price for what I feel is one of the best frogs I have used.

All in all I will be using them a lot as they and the River2Sea Bully Wa frogs are my two favorites. After searching around and experimenting with quite a few I am very impressed with the Teckel frog. They exceeded my expectations. I am no frog expert but I feel like these are a legitimate tool and worth their cost. Just wanted to share the info and take it for what it is. Just one guy's opinion and nothing more. Other brands are good as well and I am not disparaging any others just saying these seem legit and if anyone was wondering about them here is a little info from my on the water experience.

Thanks Mark for your review. I have a couple still in the package and have not had time to try them out. Looking forward to it now.

I just used the Whacker with the regular skirt type legs. The body looks the same on the Honker though but not sure how the blades affect the action if any.

Hopefully your experience will be similar to mine. They have some truly unique patterns and are a lot more detailed in person than the pix show.
