Me too. Anyone fishing this lake lately? Are the fish biting or is the bite slow?

I guess we did better than thought a couple of weeks ago. 2 boats 4 guys caught about 12 with a few good keepers in the bunch. Hope it picks up by the end of the month, or it's going to be a sloooooow 2 days.

Not having any trouble catching fish on Palestine. Not sure what you folks are fishing for, though. Maybe it's a different story for LMB.

Fished Sunday afternoon from 4 until 7 p.m. shoreline across from Palestine Resort to halfway back, Ledbetter. Slow, 2 small bass on red rattle trap, 1 drum and 1 bluecat on jig and craw.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Did it pick up any water from this rain? Looked like there was some good storms that way.

Not sure what yall have been using. But from Sept 1st till just yesterday I aint had one slow day. Constantly catching 10-20 Bass not all keepers but have averaged 10-15 lb bags per 5 fish only fishing 3-4 hours during the day while kid is at school. Caught a 6.2 lbr, 5, 4s, 3s, 2s, plenty of 1brs and dinks to count. Cant keep my plastics in the bag thou, tearing them up. Mostly the last month its just one bait and one color they killing. Got me a Ranger Z18 Sept 1st its Blue and Black ever see me on the water we'll swap some info. Just finished having our lakefront house built looking forward to much more fishing now that its done. I'm medically retired Army so I've been able to keep up with their movements but I aint fished one spot the same week usually only get out 2-3 times a week thou. I'm just an avid fisherman trying to hone my skills on my new lake. All fish weighed on Tournament Choice digital scale not the best scale so weights could be a ounce or so off. Cant wait till I feel confident to do some of the tournaments on the lake just seems everyone wants to launch up North but I aint scratching my boat up north when fish is just as good if not better (per the Toyota Share Lunker being caught near damn)and the South part of the Lake.
