I've been having good luck on Dunlap. Caught this fatty today and and had a solid 5 pounder to start a guide trip this past Friday, which yielded about 14, or 15 fish. There were also a few that did NOT hit the deck and I do NOT include those in my count. Despite recent rains, the water is still pretty clean, except the last stretch down to the lower dam is pretty stained, but I have caught fish there also. Water temp has been in the upper 70's.

Great fish! I haven't fished Dunlap in a while but there are some brutes in there. I live out at Canyon Lake might need to go fishing with you.

I attest to Ryan putting you on some fish @KMHendu! Me and a buddy went out with him last week and wore them out! He knows how to put you on the fish

Went to Ryan's site and his prices are very reasonable. Hopefully I can scrape some extra money together and get out on Dunlap with Ryan.

I hope to get up there next week and fish. I haven't been on that water in almost 30 years. So I will keep reading the reports. thanks.

Tbud, that particular trip, I put in at Schumann's, but I also use the bridge ramp as well. I try to divide my time and fish fish both the upper and lower end....and middle too...(LOL)...In other words, the whole damn thing. The water is usually cleaner up top, but of course wider and deeper further downstream.
