Set up some stout rod holders (2 or 3) left right and center. Get you a large drift sock and get out and drift the end of a point or the edge of some trees. Use a santae Cooper rig (think that's the name) and use some fresh dead Shad. Watch those rods and get ready for a sleigh ride. I'll post pics later ;-)

When they move shallow a stake pole or retractable dog leash anchor is handy. I'll put a cork above a live hook about 18"s up with a heavy leader. If I'm in timber I'll use heavy main line too. Will catch them on wild minnows, cut bait n perch also. I'm not above chuming or spiking bait either thumb

Can get extra shallow and back in the thick with the yak.

X2! Bait is the most important thing.

Usually have ice or a minnow bucket to help keep mybait ffresh. Especially when its warm. Christian is right. Bait is everything and sometimes they will not only prefer one over the other but heads over tails or bellys and scaled over anything. There is a reason in our madness

Dude, you are letting out all of your Zombie Apocalypse favorites out "heads, bellys and scaled flesh"

+1 and try to keep your bait <4 hrs dead, even kept cold (frozen coke bottles) after 4 hrs they don't do as well.
