The Ray Hubbard Bass Cub will be having our September tournament Saturday September 14 on dry gulch err I mean Cedar Creek. Here is the information -

• When: Saturday, September 14
• Where: Log Cabin
• Time: 6:00 AM - 2:00PM
• Registration: 5:00 AM - 5:45 AM
• Entry Fee: $60.00 per boat – 2 person maximum; Launch Fee: $5 per boat collected at registration by the tournament director, Jerry Brown.

You MUST be an RHBC member to fish this tournament. We do not accept membership at the launch ramp, so if you want to fish this one, you will have needed to join the Club at our meeting last night September 12 at The Flying Saucer in Garland.

Registration will be at the ramp starting at 5:00 on Saturday morning. No lines in the water until 6:00. When you register you will be given a numbered domino. You will need to turn in the domino to get your fish weighed. There will be a 30 minute dead water period where no fishing is allowed at the end of the day. This is to give members time to get off the water, and the TD time to get the weigh in set up. The chip must be back in the bucket by 2:30 and weigh in will start then. See you at the ramp!

Note my cut and paste error. The launch fee at Log Cabin is $5.

I'll get Herman the results in the next day or so so he can get the website updated. Here's a quick recap off the top of my head. Preston Smith and David Horton won with 5 for 11.60. Their's was the only limit weighed in. This is their 2nd win of the season (Lavon) so they are finishing up very strong. Nice job guys. Damon and Dennis Machost had 3 fish for 10.85 which included a 5 lb kicker for 2nd place. Talking about committment, Damon closed at Bass Pro Shops on Friday night, arrived an hour before registration Saturday morning and left the tourney an hour early so he could be back at work Saturday afternoon. Jake and Wayne Baker we're 3rd with 2 fish for 10.35 lbs. Jake caught a 7.37 that won big bass. You could tell that Jake wasn't planning on catching any fish because he left his weigh in bag at home! Jack and Fly Scheel rounded out the check cashers with 4 keepers that went 8.71 lbs. They have been consistent all year. All and all it was a tough day for keepers on Cedar Creek. It seemed like everyone caught fish but finding the right ones was a struggle. We had 17 boats come out and fish and hope to see the guys that didn't make it out at Winnsboro.

I don’t exaggerate…I just remember BIG !!!
