So, I guess local jack potters are not on Rayburn or Toledo right? Ya'll are a joke.

Peter check the results, it is not always locals winning. Ken Smith and David Waller are DFW guys that can win on Rayburn anytime. And Phil Marks

The individual names you have mentioned all live within a reasonable driving distance to Rayburn and Toledo in comparison to Central and West Texas etc. The whole deal is they're many lakes in Texas that can hold a BFL size tournament that they have never set foot on however the numbers thing continue to come up. How can you say it will be a low turn out if the organization has never been there? Comes right back to the statement that it is favoring a particular region of the state. Spread it out and try something new but that seems to be too difficult or is it the comfort zone thing?

Killeen and Dfw are pretty close to the same drive time to Rayburn.

It's 5-5 1/2hrs from killeen to Rayburn and another 30min to Toledo. I know the distances...I used to fish the BFL until they started catering to the Rayburn and Toledo Jack potters. Distance is an issue but the main issue is the repetitiveness of the locations. Until it changes and fishes Texas as a whole, the numbers will never be what they really truly want it to be. I for one will not participate until its leveled across the board.

Pete, give me a sample schedule of what you're talking about. Start in February and end in September. 5 tournaments.

Mark, off the top of my head this is a sample of branching out. A few tweaks and the variety would interest more anglers in my opinion.

Feb-Lake Austin
March-Rayburn
April-Choke Canyon
June- Lake Tawakoni
Sept- Toledo for the two day

They cater to where they believe they will get the best turnout, its a business.

it kinda sucks that it's as far away as it is but i get it. you can still get a few from dfw, you can also pull from houston, did you see the crowds at the bass event in orange right down the road, not even to mention the la fishing fanatics. makes perfect since that all those options out weigh dfw crowd, plus how can you really be mad or tired of fishing those 2 lakes. if fork had a no slot they'd fish it every yr too, but then it might not be fork. good luck with the series to all involved, to those who are not involved quit whining and go fish what works for you instead of knocking a man's hard work.

The SETX guys are right, we are whinning......

Continue down the same path of no growth and repeat lakes.
Eventually it will get you. If your not growing than your falling behind.

BASS has opened the door by dumping the Weekend series, who will step up and take advantage?

Please throw the North Texas guys a bone. Over 6.5 million people live in the DFW area.
In BFL events during 2011-2013 Sam has averaged 111 boats and Toledo had 97 per event. Surely you can break even in a 100 boat tournament on Ray Roberts, Richland Chambers, maybe Lewisville or even Ray Hubbard.

February-South Texas, Choke Canyon?
March-East Texas, Sam Rayburn
April-N. Texas
June-Central Texas. Austin, Belton, Waco?
Sept-Toledo Bend
I know life is not fair, and it is a business, but what annoys me is that all of the SE folks have the BFLs within 100 miles of them, and none of the events are within 200 miles of DFW.

Wonder if they could try North Cowboy division, and actually draw on 2 divisions?
